Gabrielle Hawkes
Gabrielle Hawkes moved to Cornwall in 1985. Printmaking is usually her winter activity; the rest of the year she spends as much time as she can out in the landscape, walking and painting.

Her work tends to be quite diverse in subject matter. She explores both what she sees around her and her own world of imagination and personal symbolism, but it is this initial response to the landscape and its elemental energies that inspires all of it.
